You should check out our side yard on Oak Street in Oshkosh. The base plants are violets, and they act as borders around herbs and tomatoes. Violet flowers are nice in salads. Some herbs are perennials, some need to be started as seeds each year. It hasn’t had to be mowed all year and we really do get compliments!
I do remember seeing your tomatoes and herbs. It is amazing! Such a great use of space.
